Mission: To have an open discussion regarding the impact that substance use disorder is having on our workforce and brainstorm ways to provide a welcoming club environment for businessmen and women who are navigating recovery. In addition, to bring the necessary education and awareness to the forefront so that more lives are not lost to the deadly disease.
It is estimated that the yearly economic impact is over 442 billion dollars. Workplaces bear a significant portion of those costs due to absenteeism, increased healthcare expenses and lost productivity. Many of these costs could be avoided if the worker felt comfortable to speak with a network of other business professionals who have traveled the same path.
This event will have a panel of business leaders and club members who have personally been impacted by either losing a loved one, someone dealing with recovery, or those fighting addiction, and have decided to speak up to encourage positive change. Zero Proof (mocktails) will be available and the event will be held in a private event room to provide a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.
